hmm... probably the density of the material is different. The TRD blue was very heavy compared to OEM front.

I held TRD blue against Daizen red, and the Daizen was clearly thicker. I don't know about the weight however - the Daizen was already installed so I couldn't compare the weight. And yes, they are both thicker than OEM.

Now with that being said, thickness is not the only thing that affects the "spring rate" of a sway bar. Swaybars are basically made behave like springs, and if you look at OEM springs vs aftermarket, the aftermarket ones are not any thicker, yet they are much stiffer.

Daizen red:
Front: 32mm
Rear: 19mm (adjustable)

TRD blue:
Front: 31mm (Gsteg mentioned, and I can confirm it)
Rear: 19mm

The Daizens are indeed larger in diameter, but I would guess the metal is thicker with the TRDs. They were definitely heavier than the Daizens.

So whats the final verdict? Go with Daizen, or pony up more money for the TRD blue sways?

If you decide to go with Daizens, let me know, I can sell you my rear daizen bar cheaper than it retails.

See my posts on page 3.

They definitely reduce body roll, but the rear one creates way too much oversteer, and the steering becomes too quick for my liking. I'm happy with rear OEM bar and Daizen front.

TLcoats, you can buy TRD blue front and rear seperately from sewell, use coupon code clublexus, just in case you want to mix and match.

+1

I'd get the front bar first and see how you like it.
