LS400 Brake installed and Picture
Lately my stock sc400 brakes has been really bad so i decided to buy some LS400 brakes from a Clublexus member, received them in the mail yesterday, so i decided to clean them up and paint them!
heres a pictures of the LS400 brakes with them cleaned
i have seen lots of guys on here SPRAY the calipers and i personally done it myself and i do not like them... so i bought me a caliper PAINT kit! the kit comes with a can to clean the calipers a stick mixer, and a brush
here is the first layer of paint.. it dries pretty fast but i waited about 30 min for each coat
some more coats
then i decided to put some lexus stickers i made a few years ago and it lines up pretty good!

after a overnite of letting the paint dry i put some clear coats over the calipers
then its time to install the brakes! first remove the old stock brakes, then remove the stock brake shield
then from there it was pretty much straight forward

It's not necessary to use hi-temp caliper paint for the LS caliper because it's made of aluminum and doesn't hold the heat like SC iron caliper. So that means the paint option is more out there for the LS caliper. I didn't try that brush Duplicolor caliper paint, but caliper paint usually requires 4-7 days to dry. And if you spray anything on it during that period, it'll run so bad.

sorry for reviving an old thread, im having trouble with my 95 ls400 brakes on my 93 sc300. i have the new ls4 caliper bolts, r1 ls400 cross drilled rotors and the oem pads. im working on this install with a lexus tech at my work ( i work at the dealer) the issue we're running into is with the stock SC brake lines, the pin and the bend on the tip of the brake line do not fit correctly into the new caliper. how are you guys that are using stock lines making them fit?? the tech refuses to put those on there saying its gonna be prone to leaking since it doesnt fit perfectly flush in the caliper. or what other lines are people using? any info is much appreciated thank you

You can retain the factory SC lines.
Braided lines? Order a set for the SC/Supra.
Unless your alignment pin got bent, it should line up properly and sit flush. I did not have any issues with it.
