New Brake Pads ADVICE ?
Hello,
I recently got my oil change and my mechanic said that i need new front and rear brakes. I have a 2002 GS300, it has stock rotors its going to be my first time changing brakes. What would you guys recommend? My mechanic recommend original brakes i assume its the OEM Brakes ??? Is there anything better ? which pads should i buy and where should i buy them ??? THANKS AHEAD!!!

y not get nice pads like endless, project mu, hawks. i dont think OEM pads are awesome at stopping.. prolly just good enough so that its silent and dustless.
i could be wrong tho since i havent used OE pads in a long time... pads i had before were P.mu n they were perdy good.. just a lil loud at low speeds.. right now i have Endless VN n they are really good at stopping for being silent pads.. just a lil disty.

Stopping the car is their job, and they do it well. He doesn't sound like he's a modder, so it's doubtful he's got more power than factory - hence no need for better than factory stopping power. He'll be perfectly fine/happy with OEM, and considering that most, if not all, aftermarket pads wear quicker and exude more dust, he'll get more out of them. If he's thinking of doing big power upgrades, he would need to spend on brakes accordingly, but I don't think that's the case just yet.
