So I was driving my 99 GS300 today when suddenly the dashboard started making a high pitched "squeal" noise (almost like an alarm) and the dash board brake light, vsc light, abs light, and vsc off light all lit up.

I pulled into a parking spot and the brakes became hard to press down and it would also make a clicking noise (that sounded like it was coming from underneath the shifter) everytime I pressed the brakes.

The engine seemed fine and starts fine, but the high pitched squeal wouldn't go away. I brought it to the shop and they think it needs a new ABS relay...

Has this ever happened to anybody else? Does it sound like the shop has it right with the ABS relay? Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

u recently install some coilovers? springs? shocks? installed brakes? something that u woulda been working on in this area

u might have torn your abs/vss sensor

Yeah that alarm is associated with the ABS/VSC. Sounds like something along the lines of power booster or relay for it, etc.
