Default MK4 TT Struts install HELP!!!

ok so i bought mk4 supra tt shocks and struts and im trying to install them on the sc300. I went ahead and took off the old shocks and struts in the front and ran into a big problem. The MK4's are too big and i cant get them in there. They sit higher and are thicker so i can't shimmy them in. How did you guys do it. Do you have to take anything additional off?? or do i have to put lowering springs on them first to have them go in better??? Any help would be appreciated

Undo the swaybar link and the arm will drop down a lot further allowing you to get the strut in.

Matt.

If you remove the upper control arm bolt they'll definitely pop right in. Use a breaker bar with 19mm socket and a 19mm wrench to hold it. You'll have to remove or loosen then drier side washer bottle reservoir to get the control arm bolt out far enough....VERY easy to do though..it only seems hard likes its a pita.

You'll then probably have to still push down on the lower control arm to get the lower shock to clear, then I used a jack to hold the lower arm up while I bolted it in.

You'll have to remove the one bolt on the sway bar end link closest to the shock so you can move it out of the way.

Simple way I've done it.....Hold it in place, then use your foot to push/rock the hub down as you slide it in(this is done in crouching position as one arm is holding the suspension assembly). It should take 5 seconds to do once the stock one is out.
