Default TRD pads, rotors, braided lines and painted calipers

Spent part of today giving the front brakes a bit of an overhaul.

Took the Supra 4 pots off and sanded and preped and painted them. Bit of a typical colour but there isn't much to choose from in the high temp ranges.

Had the TRD rotors surface ground as well as there was a slight warp that you could just notice

Fitted new TRD pads and a set of Goodridge braided brake lines.

I wish I had fitted the lines first or last and done some test runs in between as it's hard to know what has caused the noticable improvement in the braking.

Matt

Cheers.

The orangey/red is actually an engine enamel...

Fronts are 235's, rears are 265's. Could easily do a 245 and a 275/285.

how much better was braking improvement from stock SC brakes to Supra TT brakes?

because autozone sells supra tt calipers (i believe rebuilt?) for $100-150 each... i was thinking about going that route... better than buying the supra tt calipers used right?

i don't know if the performance standards of the autozone rebuilt supra tt calipers held up to factory stock supra tt calipers...?

A massive improvement.

Obviously for the street then there is no real benefit as standard driving is fine for the stock brakes but if you do anything else, then these would be one of the best mods.

The coilovers, LSD, and front brakes really transform the car.

There isn't much involved in a caliper rebuild, usually it's just the seal kit.

Not sure if this would alter the performance of the caliper at all, doubt it.

Not sure what you guys mean by being the correct caliper either.
