FYI: Wheel spacer pics w/265's

Can someone tell me what is the overall difference between installing a spacer vs. installing a different set of wheels with a smaller offset. It seems like the said above two methods will both bring the wheels out to fill the fender wells.

Pearlpower,
That looks great, much better than stock footprint!
If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for the spacers and where did you get them?
Any tricks to putting them on? Any adverse effects (like wheel shimmy at speed, etc) noticed?
I haven't done my due diligence and searched for prior posts on this topic yet (no time right no)w, no need to respond if you've already answered these in another thread.

I'm planning on getting the H&R 25mm spacers on the stock 17" wheels, REAR only. I've searched the forums extensively for this, but haven't come up with anything at all: I see the pics where the wheel is nicely brought out flush with the fender, but DO THE WHEELS HIT THE FENDER ON BUMPS while driving?
I'm about to have the L-Tuned springs and shocks installed, if that makes any difference in whether it hits or not. I don't see how the tire doesn't smack right into the edge of the wheel well. The threads talk about the stress on the wheel bearings, but not whether the wheel hits.
Please advise. I'm sure you guys with spacers and/or wider tires/wheels are well versed in this.

25mm spacers
nice pictures guys i've had the 25mm h&r spacers since sept on the lexus 17" wheels. really make it look a lot better. the shop went ahead and painted them the same color as the brake calipers and it looked even better. have had no problems with rear shimmy and in fact had the JIC FLT2A coilovers installed at the same time car handles like a dream
