ok guys I have a question for you. I know alot of people are using full coilovers but I wanted to see if this would work. We are going to put some on my brothers ride(IS350) we wanted to use the Ground Control coilover system which is basically just everthing without struts. We are planning on using the stock struts and just put the kit on. first problem is Ground Control does not make a kit for the IS so basically we need to just find a kit that the sleeve will be big enough to fit through the strut (we were thinking the Corolla since it is made by the sister toyota) then the top perch is the second problem but then we thought ok if it is not big enough just redrill to make the hole big enough for the strut rod to fit through. so those two taken care of the question I have is the spring rates on the spring will it be ok to put those specs intended for the weight of the corolla compared to the weight of the IS. anyone here thats a GURU in suspension please chime in. thanks much. oh and ya will this work..

Good luck with that. I've never heard anything good about the GC faux coilover set up.

Thanks for all that chimed in. You all have great reasoning and yes it is a Lexus but alot of you guys are running eibach springs already, well ground control runs eibach springs the only difference is it will be with an adjustable sleeve. The IS runs tokico struts already doesn't it if imnot mistaken so they are good struts the only thing is the spring rates for the kit I want to run for the project I have done research and seen others do this on different vehicles, yes it seems like a half *** job but if you look at it if you run the ground control coils then buy shorter tokico struts the amount would come up the same or higher around $900 - $1100 so we're mearly just not gettingnew struts just using the old one and just getting the kit. I just needed to see ifany one here would be able to aid on the spring rates for the corrola. Thanks for all inputs it is great to get feedback. If this does happen I will post on the ride and handling of the outcome.

You know you prbably right but it doesn't really matter what it's called now does it since i know that i can use it just like the aftermarket uses what they use to build coilovers right! I even showed a picture so who gives a f$@k what it's called I'm pretty sure I'm not that dumb to start on something if I'm unsure if I can do it or not. Why not focus on the question. Spring rate.

Thread closed for cursing and antagonistic response. You can easily make your point without the foul langauge and a reply that baits for further arguments.
Good luck with your suspension experiment.
