Sam, I am getting mine in tommorow. I can't wait. How do they ride with the swift springs? Are they pretty firm on full dampening?

I love how the swift perform, however, I can't compare it to the bc spring because I never rode on it. They are nice and somewhate firm but it feels better over uneven road than my springs. It's different... kinda hard to explain.

They are firm, but when it hits bumps, it's eases into it. Like stock shock, but firm though. Not like springs where it rattles your teeth out.

however, when there are like many pavement cracks over long stretch, it jumbles/rattles,... it may be due to my damp setting though. I had it set, 5 clicks from hard in front.

Hmmm ... CircuitMS could you kindly chime in. Sam430...are you saying that you cannot adjust the "lower bracket" anymore according to your diagram (blue box)? Here's what I found on the Internet might help other users. Might be a redundant information but I thought it was pretty cool:

yep...it'll hit the end of the bottom body...that is why i said that you cannot go lower without adjusting the perch to lower the spring...

also... fyi... megans have the same issue, as another member had mentioned. however, the megan may have a shorter body, thus removing the third ring at the bottom will allow the megans to go lower. . . (megans owner, please verify)

OK, if that's the case then yes, removing a ring or prelaoding the spring won't help.

If there are people who want to get an extreme drop on their car in the front we can do a custom kit for you to allow that.

I was going with lowering springs, but I will something adjustable.

I am interested in the BC coilovers but first I have two questions:

1. at the highest setting, are the BCs as high as stock height?

2. I can get the BC "BR-RS", so no pillow mounts in the front. Will this make much of a difference in handling/ride quality?

I appreciate your help.

1) no they arent as high as stock at the height setting. my 3gs has the fronts pretty much all the way up and im at about 2 finger gap.

2) not really. rubber mounts are also a lot less noisy then pillow ball mounts

Thanks for the reply, IX!

I will be parking my car in my parents underground garage for extended periods. So I thought coilovers would be cool because I'd be able to raise the car. I think I'm going with lowering springs and will take the front bumper off to get down there. (I have 2mm clearance at stock height)

^^^WOW! That sounds like a pretty steep underground garage entrance if you have to remove your front bumper after putting on springs.

Yea... Due to space constraints they had to modify the entrance and it ended up being way more steeper than originally designed. My dad's car (not lowered) sits outside, his bumper scrapes way too much...

so I have been searching (like a good little soldier) and not finding anyone specify the actual height adjustment range. It isnt on BC's website or anywhere else.

I am looking for full range starting with from stock height to lowest. That is the information that will help me decide.

I want to lower now, but I am on stock 17 and dont want to drop any lower than maybe an inch. From there, when I am able to acquire the rest of my setup suspension / camber wise, I'll put on some 19s and tighten things up.

Anyone with the specs' and the source?
