Default HELP! Rear UCA REinstall nightmare!

For those of you that have removed your rear UCA's and replaced the bushings... How did you get the nuts back on the bolts without dropping the subframe?

Any secrets???

Not sure if it helps, but did you take a look at the sticky in this forum?

Yes i read the sticky, but there was no information regarding getting the nuts back on there... it's a really hard to reach spot.

I also posted here so that it would be seen.

take a box wrench and put the nut in it. then stick the bolt in. the box wrench is skinny enough to give you proper clearance to stick it in.

But what about the C clips? The C clip blocks the nut from being able to be put on a wrench. It's all insanely hard to reach back there, I have no idea how this is going to work

When you say you dropped your subframe, did you just loosen some ofthe bolts where it came down a little, or did you completely take it off the car?

I changed mine without dropping the subframe.

It is tight but doable.

I believe I separated the nut and c-clip( sorry gettin old, CRS)

I did not experience the difficulty in the sticky.

Not much rust to contend with.

Yea, i have a southern car (louisiana). No rust at all! bolts broke loose easy!

Anyway, I have decided to just drop the entire subframe, Installing a TT diff and powered by max subframe and diff collars. just doing it all at once
