Default hammering the shock tower

Im going na-t and i for see that i might have to hammer the shock tower a tad bit to get good fitment and have no rubbing issues with the turbo and said shock tower. Ive got a strut bar incase it makes a difference in answering my question....Are there any side affects to hammering the shock tower? Thanks in advance to anyone who chimes in on this.
