Default Newest Mod!

hey everyone, i'm happy to report that my car is starting to really shape itself up. it started as a stock 93 sc400

i just landed a deal on supraforums for an entire supra TT suspension consisting of 4 shocks, 4 springs, and 4 top hats (even though i don't need them)

everything shipped for a mere $250.00

i was going to just get springs, but here is how i looked at it.
220 for SC springs, promising 1.2/.9 drop. aftermarket springs on stock shocks causes extra wear, and my current set up right now has 165k miles on it.
so, for 30 dollars more i got a whole new suspension from a TT supra with 38k miles on it. i know the drop won't be substancial at first, but how about the increase in HANDLING? thus also opens the door for some serious suspension mods in the near future since i'll already have supra shocks.

how much of a handling improvement have you guys who have gone this route seen? i can't wait to get them on!

Nice buy. I honestly noticed a more dramatic improvement with wider, low-profile tires. The TT set will definitely be stiffer and give you a bit more confidence in corners however.

TT springs and struts felt much better around turns, but almost zero drop. I sold them.

and you can also get supra lowering springs later, which are cheaper than SC springs

thanks guys! i can't wait to test these things out around corners and such.

joeazy: i have 97 tails already, so i really want a 97 bumper in the future, but as far as the near future goes i'd probly like to get rims next. just something to compliment the new suspension. i'll probably make a really nice home depot lip like grants (jdmmuscle) my sig explains everything i've got in it right now...one piece at a time is how i look at it.

troy: understandable with the drop, but i know the factory springs won't slam me down but i'm making an investment for the future to lower it and handle better with future supra springs.

jadu: thanks man, i can't wait to test them out and i've seen SC springs they are crazy expensive for like no results. maybe by the end of this summer or something i'll grab supra springs.

from what i understand OEM supra everything will give me ~3/4 inch drop. but it also sets up the opportunity to get supra lowering springs soon which lowers the car an extra .5inches than advertised

Very nice i got a set of TT suspension also from a member awhile ago he said the miles on the suspension was 20k got it for a good price too, but it was missing one top hat but it didn't matter didnt plan on selling the SC suspension

My rear dropped a lot more than the front, actually i don't think my front dropped down at all my rear dropped from 3 and half finger to a little less than 1 and a half finger gap.

Handling wise, you'll love it whenever i turn the wheel it response so fast i can actually take sharp turns now! just gotta fix my PS whine now.

Plus good deal since TT suspension holds its value! so if you want to go coils you can just resell them for the nearly the same price!
