Default $600 for install? Is that right? (F sport springs)

I was ready to pull the trigger on the f sport springs and the dealership quoted me $600 to install. Is that price correct? That likely is a deal breaker if that is the going rate.

you can get them installed for 150$ to $200 somewhere else. Maybe a local member can help you install them and DIY?

$600 is way to much for just the install...

Glad to know $600 is too much. Now if there are any local members in Louisville. (I think they are few and far between). I would even be willing to drive to Indy, Cincy or Nashville if there are members there who could help me do this for less.

The dealer will always mark-up parts & installation. Search for a better option!

My local Lexus dealer charges $1000 for parts and install for F sport springs. The only advantage to having the dealer do it is if you need warranty work on the suspension, it is covered.

honestly, what could go wrong with springs? there are no moving parts on the thing, it just compresses and expands. it pretty hard to do it wrong to the point where your car wouldn't function right
dealers charge rediculous ammounts of cash to install f-sport parts, don't even bother, get it done at a local shop or DIY

Would/could Lexus void out my warranty on the suspension if I had the springs installed by a third party? I understand that the springs may not have any parts that would/could go bad, but I would hate to need something fixed only to have Lexus slap me with a bill that my warranty would have covered if I had let them install the springs...

Expect to pay experienced shop about $250-$300 including alignment in the high-rent areas of northern CA.

You can do it yourself. Just rent a compressor at kragen or something. At least you save money.

They can't void your warranty unless it's proven that part had something to do with w.e that went wrong. Anyways no one on the forum has ever gotten their warranties voided due to springs, none to my knowledge. I would go with an aftermarket brand if I were you because they're better in every way imo. It's your car so do what you like.

^

So you figure

"F-Sport Lowering Spring Set

Price

$299.00

PTR07-53080" - Sewell

~ $300 OTD
Then ~ 381 for installation

VS

"Expect to pay experienced shop about $250-$300 "

So you figure $81 to have them installed correctly at the dealership, warranty is guaranteed, and alignment. '

IMo not bad, For ~ $1000 you can get coils + the 1-300$ installation. Just depends on how low you wanna go.

Quick Reply: $600 for install? Is that right? (F sport springs)
