Default Shocks Refillable?

Ok so my car was making this clunking noise, and i the dealership said my left rear shock was leaking. I know that there is normal leaking and then the abnormal leaking, let's just say it was leaking to the point where they said it needed to be replaced. My car is out of warranty, but after getting my car serviced my car no longer has this clunking sound.

Im not crazy, because my car would clunk at every major dip but now it drives regular. my question is it possible for the dealer to have added oil, hydraulic fluid or whatever is in our shocks that leaks? maybe?

No way. It would cost more than a new shock by a factor of at least three.
