Btw, don't plan on buying lifetime if you are going to change cars every so often. The warranty isn't attached to the person or the car, but rather both and only both at the same time. If either one of the ingredients are taken out of the equation, then the warranty is void.

I learned this lesson with my last two cars. I figured I'd be buying lifetime for myself, instead its tied to myself and the car, meaning if the car is sold, the warranty is void.

The LTA ranges from 120-170 I think. You can call Megan Racing and they will give you phone numbers of local vendors in your area. I have the Megs on mine and have been holding up pretty good.

With a coupon I got, mine cost me $139.99. Regular price I believe is $169.99.

I just found a shop in Austin that has the new machine, they don't offer lifetime for modified though...and they're the only shop in town that has it.

The lifetime alignment is good for those who change alignment settings alot. I would say that I probably change my settings twice or more a month during the summer season when i track my car. Another good thing to do is get to know the store manager at your local firestone shop. I've found in the past that some shops will not sell you the lifetime plan for modified cars but no where in the policy does it list that it's not sold for modified cars. Oh, btw.. I've always paid $99 for all of my Lifetime plan. But then again, I probably have 7-8 cars that all have this plan.

And I always have him set it to my spec instead of what the computer recommended specs.
Is it safe to go by the alignment specifications that firestone or any other alignment shop has stored in the computers?
Does anyone know the alignment specifications for the GS430 from the Lexus dealer?

The alignment spec Firestone supplies is not what Toyota specifies. The range is even wider so you could really be off and the screen will still show 'green'. Correct alignment will be in mm/in/minutes, not degrees. Toyota lists their specs in mm so if you want it in degree, you'll have to convert the numbers.

Heres a noob question. I thought all they do is hook up the car to the wheel alignment system/paddles and the the computer does the rest. Is that true?

The computer only sense the angles and such. It's the tech that needs to turn the wrenches to get the numbers desired.
