I bought TT calipers from NAPA a few years back for my 98 GS400... they looks decent out of the box, and worked great. No complaints here.

What do you mean SHARPER? TT calipers bolt right up to SC's using your stock bracket bolts, Yes you gotta buy supra rotor's, & if you dont want to cut your stock dust shields, then you gotta buy supra dust shield's. Yes the supra calipers are heavier than LS's but, you get better braking w/the bigger rotor. There is alittle trick to installing the dust shields w/o having to pull the spindle, just cut the stock,& supra dust shield to remove & install.

Got my calipers from napa last august for $83 a piece with core charge. No offense to those who work there, but they arent that sharp when it comes to calipers. I used my stock sc calipers as a core and they didnt even check. Got my rotors from autozone for $55 a piece and some pads from autozone for $35. Then ordered some ss goodrich lines for $100. It totaled out to around $445. Night and day difference with no problems at all. But good luck ordering them, i waited 2 weeks on the left caliper.

I got my LS400 calipers from autozone. They had to order them, but I remember them being right over $100 for both(this was 4 years ago) Haven't had any problems in ~40k miles. I also returned the stock SC calipers for the core charge

I don't think its(totally) an issue of the employees being incompetent. The description doesn't specify whether they're 1, 2, or 4 piston. And how many casual parts guys(non-dealer) know the difference visually between an SC300 and a 95+ LS400 calipers? Not to mention that they probably don't give a rat's a$$ @ $7 dollars an hour, as long as they have some calipers to send back to their supplier for a core.

I always wondered how long it took for the rebuilder to notice that the calipers in the box are not the ones that they should be originally
