Tein S. Tech vs H&R springs.
#3
my H&Rs gave me a rougher ride than i expected. the drop was uneven (as most springs) i would have kept them but when i install 19x8.5+22 wheels up front, the driver side was way to low and i rubbed like crazy. i switched to BCR coils and love them so far. I honestly would still be on the H&Rs if i didnt have rubbing issues. But potholes and H&Rs make for an awkward situation when you have a girl, customer, or anyone for that matter. just a brutal sound and jarring feeling.

LOL, im thinking of switching my springs for summer because i cant get coils till like novemberish. Im currently on F sports, i either want S techs or H & R. I wanna see Colleens (Heartmyis) car in person to compare.

sweet. go with s. tech dude. i've got 2 bad reviews from h&r and none from s. tech..only thing m concerned f i go with s. tech is i might lose the comfort due to the road condition here. the shop i installed h. tech stopped ordering s. tech cos there too many complains with the s. tech cos of the road. lol. what coils u planning to get btw?

So I chose springs because at the time I needed to drop it because I couldn't stand the gap, but had limited funds. I am using S-techs with the stock shocks (from sport package) and I'm very happy with the ride quality, it's not noticeably harsher than the stock sport springs. Also, it handles remarkably better...but keep in mind I'm not doing autoX, just daily driving.
The only complaint is that the rear is still lower than the front. it looks much better than the stock springs, but again, I would have been happier with a more even drop. Also, the left and right sides of the car are at slightly different heights, but this is not due to the springs, it's a problem with the IS350... again, coilovers could deal with this, so in the future I plan to get coils once my shocks blow out.
So here's my car on 18s, then 19s, then 20s.... just so you get a feel for wheel gap with different wheel sizes.
