Soarer Torsen Differential
hey there club Lexus, I'm a owner of a sandstorm beige sc4
i recently got my dreaded rear clunk diagnosed, and it turned out to be my diff.
My question is: Is the JDM Toyota soarer differential unit swappable with my factory open diff?? i'm looking to change the whole pumpkin and not just the gears inside
Thanks alot

whole pumpkin will bolt right up. it should be the same diff as the na mk4 supra with lsd option and same as the mk4 supra turbo auto.
only different, big, diff was the mk4 supra turbo 6spd.
all other toyota torsen lsd are same aka aristo, soarer, na mk4 supra, mk4 supra turbo auto.

It's difficult to find one of the USDM TT Auto Torsen T-1's but they do come up for sale on Supraforums. You have to be very diligent-- i.e.: check the classifieds every hour until you get lucky. I'm not kidding. They really do show up and sell that fast more often than not.
That, or just put up a WTB ad there and wait patiently, which is what I eventually did.
The compatible LSD's from Soarers are Torsen T-2's. They are much rarer, sought after (in Japan at least) and generally cost more than your average whole TT Auto LSD pumpkin.
If it's a specific gear ratio you are interested in, you can always have a reputable diff shop swap in the ring and pinion ratio you want.
Good luck.
