Default Squeaky brakes when the car is not warmed up

Over the last few months, I have noticed that my brakes are squeaky when the car is cold and has not had a chance to warm up. Once the brakes are warmed up, the squeaking is gone.

I have an 06 IS350 with 53k miles. It sounds like my front brakes are squeaking... The dealership changed my front pads to the less dusty ones at approx 30k miles. Before my warranty ended, the dealership inspected it and couldn't find any issues - pads were fine and had enough to go.

Any idea what may be the problem?

Mine squeaked as well. Changed to ceramic pads and haven't had any problems.

Really this is normal? The squeaking is quite loud and pretty annoying when it happens... especially when driving out of an echoing parking garage.

i had the same problem, but i told my dealership about the squeak and that i wanted the dust less pads. So they changed my pads, shims and fit kit and than resurfaced my rotors for free. Now i dont have anymore squeaking.

But i did tell them that i found a tsib for the front brake squeak.

check if the brake sensors are touched!

30K miles ago is a long time for front brakes...

Dealer told me that it is a common problem with all IS lines for some reason.
to solve the problem they will tell you that rotor needs to be resurfaced and pads needs to be changed but problem will continue after certain amount time..
may be different brands of rotors might help.. idk

hate to bump an old thread, but I just loaded up all aftermarket pads (EBC Redstuffs) and they still squeak like claws on a chalk board. I'm going to grease the **** out of them next weekend and pull the shims out. I'll keep every 250 owner updated with the progress of solving this nuisance.

use that red grease stuff people spray or lubricate the shims with to keep the shims from vibrating. thats the main cause of the squeaking high pitch noise. i just put some of it today in between my inner and outer shims and it works like magic!
