you should contact 88rotors..
i purchased their rotor and it has been good to me so far. the guys name is travis or kenn. 110 shipped for drilled slots.. or you can just get blanks and i am sure it is cheaper. what i heard from reading around about 88rotors, they use brembo oem blanks and drill or slot it themselves and its professionally done.

changing rotor is very simple especially on a IS350 Fronts.. the rears are a little trickier..

Have you seen any DIY? I have only found the DIY with pics for pads, not rotors.

take the calipers out... pull the rotors out....
you'll need 17mm sockets... and either a power tool... or bare strength

or like i said earlier an 8mm x 1.25 bolt to loosen the rotor... it goes in the thread on the rotor which pops it loose, which is a lot easier and safer than using bare strength or a rubber hammer.

17mm sockets are to take out the calipers.... no the rotor... rotor pops off the nuts easily once the rotors are out

With a 25mm to 50mm micrometer.

I have a similarly stupid question: how can I check the wear on my pads? Will it be possible to do with the car sitting normally in the driveway?

I swear, I feel like such a leech. I think I only come back to the forum these days when I need help with something. I should change that.

if you can see the pads.... without taking the wheels off which is sorta unlikely... yeah you can gauge whether you'll need a new pad...
