Default Lowering car and need some help

So I got the Tanabe NF210 springs for my 94 SC300 and I am in the process of putting them on my stock struts. So I went to take the struts off of my car earlier and started on the rear driver's side. I could not seem to get the strut off of the car though. I loosened the top of the strut tower from inside the trunk, and the 19 or 20mm bolts behind the rotor, but still could not get it loose. Then I used my spring compressor to try and loosen up the tension on the strut and stock spring, and then tried getting it off again. Still nothing. Does anyone know how to get these damn struts off my SC? I must be doing something wrong here. I have searched and found a little information but my question is once you unbolt everything, how do you physically get the stock strut off of the car? It seems like the strut is on a weird angle and it is hard for me to get it off.

Only been 10 hours(on a Sunday night yet) and you're already complaining

patience is a virtue

Have you tried lifting the whole rear end of the car yet? If you are just jacking up one wheel, you are fighting the tension of the rear sway bar.

is the whole rear of the car in the air or just one side? if it's only one side get the whole rear in the air. Also did you try pushing down on the hub assembly / rotor?

your questions would be very easily solved by searching. I know its difficult to do, and frowned upon as a suggestion, but this EXACT topic/question has come up at least 4 to 5 times in the last 60 days...

I did the strut springs sways. The shop did the front sways for me, can't speak to it. Rear sway pretty straight forward with the Supra Subframe mounts, you have those right !!

Airtools are unnecessary, a breaker bar was helpful or a pipe on the end of a wrench.

The rear strut spring combo was 20 minutes on ea side. You will need to use some kind of jack (sissor or bottle) to apply downward pressure on the hub to get the spring strut assbly out. I used a piece of wood on the top (against inside top of the fenderwell to prevent damage, the jack side was directly on the hub). Do this and the strut/spring will fall out into your hands.
