This is a GGREAT question, I am VERY soon planning on putting in KYB struts and Tein S Tech springs and I wanna know how much of a difference will I be looking at.
I plan on also upgrading to 3GS 18's
So this is something I really want to know
I had L-tuned springs (eibach essentially) with KYB shocks. They rode pretty smooth. It's only when you hit deep potholes and such that you definitely feel the firmness. One thing though, when I switched out the l-tuned springs for the stock springs, the stock/kyb combo was HORRIBLE. It was quite overdamped.
Agreed... My Kybs began to died after 1+ of used and I replaced with new ones with the NF210.. I don't think KYB can handle stiffness..
For those of you going with shock and spring combo... You will not be satisfied in the long run.. Talking from experience. Save money and get some coilovers. The softest ones I think are the BC Coilovers. You can get customed spring rates 8k/6k and they are just slightly stiffer than some non-aggressive springs. Research about it and you won't regret it.

let me know after installasion, current wheels are Axis Milanos 19'' wonder hows the drop and confort going to be with tein S-Tech springs.
Yea, I am currently running the 3gen GS 18". My winter snow wheels
I'm gonna put on the G37 sport 19". My summer wheels.
i think those 19's will make the ride even more harsh. do a search on RCA's if you choose not to get spring/shock combo or coilovers. it seems to be the best alternative if you want to maintain stock feel but lowered at the same time.
i have l tuned springs with stock shocks.... smooth like butter and love the drop imo. maybe its because im use to a truck. lol forsale soon.... im going for coilovers!!
wow looks clean man thanks for uploading pics, yeas go for 20'' best looking gs on 20'' i regrating getting my 19'',s looks preetyy weird ,,small...
Well idealy I wanted 19's. I think they suit the car perfectly but I'm getting a smoking deal on these 20's
Edit: my springs have finally settled and it is quite a bit lowerthat the photos above. I love how they handle and feel. But its only to hold me over until I get air coilovers or air bags
to all those who lowered their car, how many of you are going thru tire wear/noise issues? i'm thinking of lowering the car with eibachs/kyb or bilstein if they make 'em (i have yet to check).. what's the cheapest but good route to take to avoid tire wear issues? i just want a subtle drop and a bit better handling than stock..
Well L-tuned and Eibach is your best bet. You can still get it aligned to OEM spec if you want. Hell L-tuned/eibach springs were offered from the dealer.
