Question ??Airbag suspension??

I had a guy looking at my car the other day trying to figure out the best set up to lower it. He told me that it has a stock "air bag" suspension from the factory and noone makes anything for it. Has anybody alse run into this problem or heard of this problem? He said not all the SC's have this set up. What's the deal?

I thought only the LS400 had the air-bags.

You can buy an airbag adjustable suspension from Canover for the SC but it runs over $5000. The owner of the Canover company has two SC's with this setup.

In Japan, the Soarers were available with air suspension...to get a full system over here...hmmm, dunno anyone who has done it...probably costly....Canover is the other option but that's not inexpensive either...

Cool Airbag Suspension

Vegas

To lower the sus
Indide the wheel arch behind the each wheel you will find a vertical rod connected to the lower control arms
Now before you jack the car up in the air and take the wheels off be sure to lock the air bleed valve of in the boot, thats the switch on the side wall of the boot (in aust it's on the left side near the boot lid)
Now the car is jacked and wheels gone you will need to make each rod shorter (they are all adjustable) be sure that all the adjustments are the same eg if 2.5 mm shorter at the front then 2.5 shorter all around
Reinstall lower the car and flick the switch back on in the boot take a short drive and view on flat level surface.
Be careful do not go to extremes because you will burst the Airbags!!!
Usually safe margin is about an inch lower from lowest point of car to the ground than you had before
Tip
2mm shorter on the rod will amount to 10-20mm movement in the ground clearance
So gradually shorten the adjusting rod
Good luck
Terry
