Our '10 250 now has about 1300 miles on it and we are noticing a brake squeal at low speeds only after the car sits overnight or for several hours (sounds like the pads are completely worn but obvoiusly they're not) the squeal goes away after several stops and then returns once the brakes get compltetly cold again...anyone experience this and if so what was the resolution?
We have also noticed the drivers mirror whisltes at speeds over 40 mph, is there a known fix for this?
Thanks

Can't believe after 4 years of having this car out they still haven't fixed that issue. The IS's are notorious for having this issue, so it's not just your car. If you mention the TSIB, they should take care of it for you. The only crappy thing is, the new pads that reduce break dust suck compared to the stock ones. The bite on them is softer. If you plan on modding this car, find a solid BBK to resolve these issues.
They will tell you it's natural that the breaks squeak on cold start ups or after sitting long and then it disappears. From first hand experience, and I'm sure everyone can vouch for this, it will eventually get worse at around 10k. The squeaks will become more common regardless whether it's a cold start up or you've been running the car all day. It use to drive me crazy that my brand new car sounded like a piece of crap when stopping at lights.
If you're new to modding, BBK = Big Brake Kit.

Thanks everyone.
When did the TSB hit? I'm amazed our Feb '10 build didnt get it at the factory. Our dealership (JM in S FL) told us all their cars have any open service campains done prior to delivery...I guess they must have missed ours lol
Anyone have the mirror noise fix?

Check for rust on your rotors. Especially if you park outside overnight, the dew and humidity are enough to form a thin layer of rust which can cause the brakes to squeak, but rubs off after a few brake applications. It's harmless and there's not much you can do about it, besides parking in a garage.

I checked before driving off, no rust; there's been no rain lately and the car is parked indoors.
I drove the car yesterday afternoon brakes squealed until warm and then took it out again last evening (5 hour cool off) and once again the brakes squealed until they warmed up. Bringing car in today, service writter said this is not normal; on another note apparently there is a recall for the floor mats. The service writter said they may resurface the rotors but I dont feel comforatble doing that on a brand new car with only 1300 miles, if they need a resurface so early maybe they are defective? I will ask for new rotors. He also said the new low dust pads squeal and the older dusty pads dont...is this true?
Anyone one else notice a whistle from the drivers side mirror @ 40+/-? It stops if I pull the mirror in slightly.
Thanks again
