Default What mileage do stock struts wear out?

I have an 03 Sportdesign with 36k. When should I expect to replace struts?

It depends on the road. There is no set mileage.

Push down on your bumper or the inside part of your trunk and release it. The car should spring up and stay. It shouldn't be bouncing. If you've done this on an old beater, most likely it'll keep on oscillating to a degree. Do the same for the front. This is just a rough gauge because shocks can be slightly worn and still provide some damping.

I got a little more than 100K miles on mine and they're still doing their job. No leaks either.

If you feel the need in better performance then change them.

the stock struts are pretty resilient...of course it all depends on your road conditions.

How much more time/miles do I have once I notice that my struts/shocks are leaking oil?

A lot of variables go into this, it's always a different outcome with everyone.

What happens when all of the oil leaks out of the shock/strut?
What happens when the shock/strut finally breaks? [ex: front passenger shock/strut]
