Lowering spring question
Wanted to know why people thought were the best spring? Tanabe NF210 Springs? Also, if ordering supra springs, will it give me more of a drop then ordering springs for a sc300? Didn't find this info while searching. I DONT want struts just springs.

If you use supra struts, which will give a slight lower stance, maybe 1 inch or so, then you will have to use the supra springs. You cant use supra springs on your stock or oem factory replacements on your 300. If you use Tanabe they will give you 1.2 inches in the front lowering and approx. 1 inch in the rear. I would suggest repalcing all of your struts and strut mounts if you lower your SC. JMO. This will give you a better ride all around and not where out your factory stuff.
If you use Eibach 1 inch all around, on stock struts
If you use Esplier springs, 2 inch in the front and rear approx. on stock struts.
Let us know what you decide and I hope this helps.

If you want the lowered look of coilovers but doesnt put a hole in your wallet then your best bet would be to go with the Espiler ASD springs. 2 in drop around and sometimes they can be found for sale on the classifieds here.

I'm in the same situation as you are, I'm having touble justifying speding $1100 on coilovers when I can just get the Supra suspension. But everyones telling me its totally worth it..

you wont regret a set of good namebrand coilovers. but stock sc front struts work with supra springs. Rear struts must be supra. I had tanabe gf210 and immediately wanted coilovers. Springs were too bouncy. Bought cheap coilovers and they were still better than the springs.

Bought my car with the NF210's previously installed and immediately wanted coilovers. I was in the same boat, couldn't justify spending 1500+. I waited for about a year before I got my set-up. Just wait if you can, a deal is bound to be around the corner eventually.
Can't beat the adjustability of spring rate and dampening of a set of coilovers. I must say after getting a set, I will never lower a car with springs again.
