Default Get Your F-Sport Springs Now!

So i finally decided to lower my car (took me long enough i know), and called my local lexus dealership on friday last week to place an order for the f-sport lowering springs... i spent all weekend totally excited, figured out where to get spring compressors for the install etc only to receive a phone call this morning from the lexus parts guy informing me that the lowering springs have been DISCONTINUED!

not so easily defeated i contacted sewell lexus, the parts guy there was very helpful and let me know that there are 84 sets of lowering springs for the non-convertible 2IS's left in the state (83 actually i just put my order in)... so just as a heads up to all those who were thinking of getting their cars lowered, now is the time

part of me kinda wishes they were actually all sold out, so i could talk myself into getting coilovers but that'll have to be something for later down the road...

no need to panic. if dealerships ever run out of the f-sport springs, you can always get the eibach 350 springs. they offer the same drop and I think its actually the same springs, just with a different name.

^ But they're not blue.

It's odd they're being discontinued... I think it's time for F-Sport coilovers.

Discontinued doesn't necessarily means no more F-sport springs forever, there might be new sets coming out soon to replaced current ones.

Could it be your local Lexus dealership was talking about the pre-TSIB springs, and the post-TSIB ones are still being made?

So, are the newer ones going to be better? Do they do more of a drop then the current ones? Anyone have any info on these?

the new ones just eliminates clunking noises from the rear springs.

i've said this before and i'll keep saying it, if you want to 'drop' your car do not get FSport (eibach 350) springs...

IF you want a better ride/better handling over stock/keep your warranty then by all means get the FSport springs BUT~ do not add the word 'drop' when talking about FSport...

Yes, that's what I did and no clunking like the early versions of the F-Sports. Eibach 350's are black which is fine for chassis components. The warranty is a non-issue for this kind of part, the Eibach warranty is as good or better.

The drop is significant enough to make a visual difference especially obvious with 19's (yes I looked and drove the car before/after), and the ride is still Lexus-like. The car can be driven normally over railroad tracks and driveways too. Handling is slightly improved.

Hey "ask any racer, any real racer...it doesn't matter if you drop it by an inch or 3 inches. a drops a drop."

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but they're being discontinued for a reason.
