Default Jsut got Eibach and Tockico put in

I have 19in wheels and isnt as low as I thought it would be, I wanted lower. Maybe they jsut need to settle in some. Handles good so far, havent really had to to drive around.

How long are they suppose to drop casue it doesnt look much lower. Are there any springs i can get that willlower the car more?

I bought the shocks and springs from someone on this board for 430$ they were brand new. Install was 150$, and another 100 for an alinement.

I could be wrong but I think the Eibach kit is a 1.5" drop. With 19"s it may be hard to go lower. What do you not think is a big enough drop? Is there too much wheel gap between the top of the tire and the wheel well for you? Or are you talking about the ground clearance from the road to the undercarriage? To get the chasis yet lower, you can heat your springs to compress them. Really not recommended unless you know what you are doing - and even then, it weakens the springs. With 19"s, if you drop any further you may have to consider rolling fenders for wheel clearance and camber. I have heard that camber is adjustable with the stock components on the SC control assy. You could consider a body kit if you want to decrease ground clearance.

Default dont you even dare heat ur springs..

this will royally fu#$ up ur susprension. you should never heat ur springs.. it is better to cut them and even then you are risking messing up the spring rate... why dont u try to get the rsr springs i heard they drop 1.5 .. the eibachs drop just `1 inch....

heating springs will not do any worse than CUTTING them. not that I would do either. I would say cutting them is worse. But I've never done it and would never do it so it really doesn't matter. But you can't say one is worse than the other. Either way you are severely altering the engineered properties of these parts.

awj,

Cutting Springs. If done correctly with a hydraulic bolt cutter, plasma cutter or any other high power or high speed method. Not a problem. It will only cause an issue if the spring does not line up in the strut seat or cap. This will cause a rattle and in extreme cases a crushed strut from the spring falling out of the bracket and bending the strut.

Heating Springs. Never a good thing. Causes uneven spacing between coils, creates a lopsided spring dimension, never equal on all 4 corners etc. But most important, it creates a VERY dangerous situation of brittleness. Spring rate is controlled by the strength of the metal composite and diameter of the spring wire. Heating the metal changes this strength and makes it extremely brittle. I have seen more than 15 cars with broken springs from heating.

Lastly, my sc300 has the Eibachs and they are rated as a 1" drop. To go lower, pull the springs out, sell them, and then order lower springs from Tein, or get Supra setups that drop 1.5"

There still a little fender gap. I think Im going to look for some Supra springs any recomedations?

awj, I agree with you. Do it right and never worry.

Din,

Supra springs only fit in supra struts. I believe the fronts 'may' fit but the rears do not.

I think if you want the full control. Spend $1200 and get the Tein HA setup.

It’s probably a little late to give you this info but I just got KYB AGX’s with Supra N/A Eibach springs. They are amazing!! As far as I know I’m the only one on this board with the Eibachs not being for the TT model. The front of the car is lower than the rear to give it a nice aggressive stance. The fenders outline the wheels perfectly. Best upgrade for under $550!!

Default hey EVO...

I was interested in getting the same setup. I have some questions though.
- Where did u get ur suspension from?
-What year supra is it suposed to be for?
-I didnt know that the NA suspension was compatible with our car i thought only the TT models would fit.
-Was there any modification necassary or was it a straight bolt in?
