Hey everyone,
I've had problems with front brakes squeal for sometime now and I usually hear them daily...except for today. The difference being I usually drive alone but, today I had 2 passengers with me in the car. Not even once did I hear any squealing?! I even attempted to purposely replicate the squeal because I've driven the car long enough to know how far to push down on the brake pedals before having them squeal. My question to everyone is could it be possible that the weight of the passengers has an effect on the brakes? Could something be loose in the brake system?
I'm really not mechanically-inclined at all. Thanks for the help guys!

The extra weight will just make your brakes work harder, and it should not have any affect on noise...if the squeak you are hearing is under light braking (like going up a parking deck, or rolling through a drive through) it is probably due to your rotors being glazed over....warranty resurface time....

I have a very low squeal when the brakes are cold; say after the car has been sitting overnight and when I first get in. 10 minutes of driving and they are perfectly fine.
There was a TSIB for brake squeal, so if you are still within warranty than definitely check that out.

Pulled my pads on my 06 IS after only a week of driving cause the squeal was driving me nuts...
Cleaned things up, put some brake quite on the back side of the pads and plates, and silence is golden! (hope it stays that way!)
Can't believe how sweetly designed the calipers are for quick access to pads!
