Question regarding replacing pads and rotors
IIRC it's not recommended to change both pads and rotors at the same time. If your vehicle is due for both how does the bedding process work?
My g/f's IS has a noticeable little lip around the front rotor and the pads are due to be changed as they are starting to squeal now.

What does the lip have to do with changing the rotor? The only consideration is the thickness. If it's too thin, change it. If it's not, don't change it.
If the wear indicators are causing the squealing, then the pads are too thin. If they're just squeaking because the bedding is gone, then they need to be bedded again. Same rule applies here - is the pad down to 1mm thickness? If it is, change it. If it isn't, don't change it.
