GS400 Brakes Advice

you dont really need to change em to slotted or drills and D/S... they are mainly for looks.
for the average DD car.
R1 rotors from what i hear are perdy good.. i personally use Brembo blanks.
Pads... you cant go wrong with axxis or ebc. do a search regarding rotors n pads... lots have been discussed. you dont need to search 2gs specifically since many people of all car categories have asked the same question.

do you remember how much the brembo rotors were going for?
well the only reason I really want some slotted rotors was cuz i bought the car with some heavy rims on them. I was told having these types of rotors would help, makes sense. But yea theres a big price difference
Anybody got some suggestions on an exhaust system, buddy of mine has a GS400 2000, wants to change the exhaust up.

As far as drilled goes, Just dont cheap out if you do go that avenue because I have heard many many times of cheap rotors that were drilled cracking from hole to hole.
Hope that helps!
(they do look awesome though!)

The more expensive rotors(I'm talking like big name big brake kits like Brembo, StopTech, AP, Endless, etc where the 2 piece outer rings cost $500 alone) are stress relieved after drilling. Also the drilling is done in the manufacturing process at the optimum temperature/time for it to prevent cracking. These rotors are quite expensive but they are often used for racing purposes where these attributes are extremely critical.
For the cheaper rotors, they are usually made for looks and the holes/slots are simply cut into a blank rotor after the factory. Those drilled rotors are much more likely to produce hairline cracks around the holes under heavy usage, but under normal daily driving conditions they will hold up just fine.
