Over-torqued sway bar bracket bolt
Hey guys. Long time lurker here.
I finally decided to re-grease my rear Daizen sway bar bushings today. I got them off and cleaned up easy enough. But during the re-install, I overtorqued a sway bar bracket bolt and the head came off.
Any ideas on my options? The help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

It is not uncommon that if you disassemble it and have enough bolt protruding that you can lock some visegrips on the bolt and unscrew it. With the head off there is no torque on the part of the bolt that is left. I've had them that I could unscrew by hand once the head was broken off.
COuld use an ez-out.
I hope going forward you observe the man. specs with regard to torque values.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I observed the specs but its been a while since I used my torque wrench and I missed the click.
I may be able to back it out from the other side. Tight fit but I think I can get to it with the wheel off and the car on jack stands.
Will let reply with the results.

Mine rusted through (thank you midwest)...see below pics.
Got new mounts and high quality bolts/nuts (I think grade 10? ...probably an overkill but whatever), fitted a wrench on the body side of the subframe and bolted it up again. Good luck. It's not hard, just a major PITA.

Ended up backing it out the other side with a pair of needle nose vise grips. Then bolted it up with 4 new 8MM bolts and torqued to spec. Feels good to drive the car hard again.
Now debating, could the front sway bar bushings be easier of more difficult to re-grease.
Thanks, all. I appreciate the helpful input.
