that bites...if Tom's says they'll take care of it, Carson should at least try to make the effort instead of just saying no...buy some more from us.

Aftermarket parts are not indestructible. I can see warranty covers any defect, but were the welds on the 6 links done poorly? Or could it be corrosion + over torque + etc...??

If TOMS is willing to help you out...try talking with Steve Ganz to see if Carson will re-consider assisting.

Ok so I got an update. Tom's is the best ever. It took me a while to finally get under the car and snap a few pics. Tom's didn't even wait for them. They already sent my parts to Carson, and have told them that they must ship them out to me. I got an email today from Luis with the tracking number. Tom's sent me the entire kit again. Thumbs up for a great company.

On to the pics. Please note that this is the only link that is rusted like that. I don't know why, but it is very weird.

Look at these other links. You can see that they are in much, much better shape. This seems to be a defect with only of the links. I have pictures of all the links, and this one here is the second worst after the broken one as far as rust. All other links are much better than even this one.

I wish they would do that with my coilovers.

wow...u really lucked out there.

that's some bad corrosion. I dont think it was defective....its pure corrosion from the elements.

and it didn't even crack at the welding point. it cracked at where the link and the bottom plate touches.

Yea thats the weird thing too. I don't get why it corroded like that. And that is the only one too. All others are in great shape compared to this one. I think I will give these links a couple of extra coats of paint to protect them more. I really don't need this happening again.

whoa...I've seen those 6 links break where the weld is, but never seen them corrode like that.

and did you paint them black? or are they weathered badly?

Yea I painted them black. The black peeled off hard core though. I've had them for a while too, so that is expected.
