Default Cross drilled and slotted SC4 rotors on an SC3

Hey guys,

Seeing as how I have not posted much lately due to grad school kicking my butt....haha, I wanted to just post this up for future reference to others since this topic has not really been covered in much detail in past threads.

I recently put SC4 cross drilled and slotted rotors onto my SC3 just basically for looks and wanted to post some key things about it. One is that the SC4 rotor is actually a tiny bit larger than an SC3 rotor. Due to this....the actual brakes on both cars are different but not in the way you would think.

In actuallity....the brake caliper itself is not different on either the SC3 or SC4, but what is different is the brake brackets on the two cars. The one on an SC3 does not allow you to bolt on the brackets onto the car with an SC4 rotor.

Reason why I post this is because all you need to do in order to fit SC4 rotors onto your SC3 is just get the brake brackets and don't worry about getting the actual brake calipers. This saved me a little time and effort of not having to disconnect the brake lines and bleed the rear brakes. Also the brake pads on the SC3 will work on the SC4....so yet another thing to not have to worry about.

Oh and also if you decide to do this mod you will have to cut off the brake rotor splash guard that you see around your rear rotors in order to get the SC4 rotors to fit. Here are some pics from today since I had time to clean the car. You will notice in the first pic I painted the brake calipers and the center hub of the rotors black to blend in better with my rims. Enjoy.

Appreciate the compliments LEXXIUM Yea I just had to post this up eventually....it was killing me and I've been so busy that I just haven't had that much time. I'm sure several people have been in the same boat as me and wondered, but now the topic is cleared up.

Thanks Shameed Appreciate you taking the time to text me back and forth that day about this topic. Your advice was really helpful on the matter bigtime. My dad was giving me a hard time it would not work with just the SC4 rotor + brake bracket and I was like, "No....Shameed is the man and he knows what he's talking about." Hahaha.

Thanks brotha As far as difference.........I can't really tell any seeing as how it's just the rear brakes and only the rotor changed for me, nothing else.

Now when I upgrade to the LS BBK in the front then I'm sure I will notice a slight difference Plus I got a special surprise for all of CL that most have never seen when that particular mod is done for me
