Coils and Cornerweighting
About to purchase coils and want to know after alignment is it necessary to have your car corner/cross weighted? and if so what does this type of thing usually cost.
Also after some research i notice some cars with coils seemed to have tilted wheels as if the are going in. Is this just an isolated event, adjustment issues, or something else.
Thanks for any help

A) Corner balancing is not crucial for street driving. It is done before your alignment is set. If you corner balance your car after getting an alignment, you'll be throwing money out the window because your alignment will as soon as you turn your perch. Usually if you pay for a corner balance job, the alignment is done in the end anyways.
B) Are you talking about camber? It's usually a result of lowering your car due to the nature of the suspension. How much camber you'll get is dependent on other variables.

The cross weights on the IS cars are not especially good from the factory. Coilovers aren't going to fix fundamental imbalances in the car. All you're going to do is optimize what is already there. To really corner weight the car, you need to be able to move weight around in the car and change the actual weight distribution, not the relative weight distribution which is all you'll do with suspension adjustments.
