I actually do still have the wobble. Im pretty sure i did drive it like that as i have only put 40 mi since the brake upgrade. Im going to a local pick n pull on monday to see if i can get a complete wheel assemply for a decent price. I honestly dont know where to start with the ball joint being so offset.

Even if it was just a severely worn balljoint, it still doesn't explain that wobble in the rotor. IDK man, I certainly don't want to steer you wrong here, is there anyone local to you who can look at it before you go spending money and pulling parts?

Yeah i certainly dont want to spend money on radom parts because im a broke son of a gun. I dont know anyone local that is willing to take a look at my car without trying to charge me.

I drove the car on the freeway before finding out about this damn problem and it wasnt that bad. Do you think the hub or wheel bearing is bad? It has to be that rotating assembly that is making it wobbly.

It looks like the spindle's tie rod part is bent - not sure from the pics I have seem. If so, it could have a bent tie rod or the hole or something is ****ed.

Rotor wobble... Put your old rotor on and see what happens.. if its straight, its your rotor, if its not.. then your hub/spindle is ****ed... get a new one.... its probably always been bent, just never noticed til now.

I can't get past the thought that you've got a few issues going on there; probably all from some damage done in the past. Like I said before, that outermost part of the steering knuckle (that the outer tie rod connects to) looks twisted to me. I thought that the flat cut portion on it's underside was supposed to be more level, whereas yours looks tilted at an angle. Again, I know they're taken from different angles, but look carefully at your pic in comparison to the ones I posted earlier:

To my imagination, it makes perfect sense that, since it basically determines the axis of the balljoint, if that piece is bent, it would force the tie rod over at an angle too, which would then cause it to project outward (dangerously close) toward your rotor. Add a little accelerated wear and tear on the balljoint from the tension of the misaligned coupling angle, and voilà, you have the mess you're looking at.

Secondarily, whatever caused the insult to twist that piece, must also have tweaked the actual spindle too; hence the rotor wobble. That's my grand theory . . . from clear across the interwebs. lol


If anyone out there has a different take, by all means, please chime in! Maybe there's something simpler and I'm just missing it. I don't want to send this poor guy on a wild goose chase.

It looks like your whole spindle is bad! There had to be such a hard impact ,that it bent everything ,starting from your hub,bearings to the spindle.Thats how it looks to me.

I'd get the whole spindle assembly from a junk yard, and call it a day.

Hey good2go thanks i just realized that it is a bit twisted compared to the normal one. Well il have to go to pick n pull monday to see if i can get that whole assemply.

Im sure its been there i just didnt notice because the stock rotors are so small that it wouldnt even come close to rubbing. Thanks you guys.

Just a quick update i was able to install the whole wheel assembly and i have a good amount of space now. Thank you all for helping.
