Please recommend height setting BC Rcing Coilovers....
I ordered my set BC Racing coilovers for 03 Lexus GS300 from CircuitMoto (thanks for the great deal). I will install it this Friday then add pix. My question is I will have the car on a set of 19" rims, what height or what should I tell the Mechanic to set the height of the coilovers to be? Thanks, and of course you will need to play with the coilovers to get the perfect setting but what is the NORM when installing it. Thanks

i just got mine from circuitmotor sports and installed them myself today... i got 19's on my car and i lowered the front all the way down and it doesn't even tuck the wheel in i have like 1 1/2 finger gap :/ only way to tuck the front i have to lower the preload... but the back will tuck 19's pretty dam low!! so far they ride is smooth,

Height should be measured from the center of the hub/wheel to the top of the fender for an accurate reading side to side. Just tell them whatever height you want it at and they should be able to do adjust accoidingly.
You could also tell them, like "1" gap between tire and fender", most shop guys will be able to understand that

hapalexus,
do you need to roll the fender with your current tires set up?
i have the same tires 235/35/19 infront and 275/30/19 in the back.. with current stock suspension.. as you can u see the pix below is my current set up.. im going to get a set of coilover soon... to me, it just looks weird with big wheel w/o lower it downs.

yes i had to cut and roll front and rear fenders, my offset is 15 front and 20 rear, my rear wheels is 19x10 alot of people put 265 or even smaller tires 235 in the rear if you for sure want more clearance but for me i like the wider tire look in the rear
