Default Coilover spring question

Is a 6" 14k spring tall enough for use in the front suspension? Obviously this will be used in a coilover setup

6" tall? That's a tiny spring.

Yes it is, but I'm hoping it'll work since it's what I have. I guess if nobody knows I'm gonna have to just try it out.

What coilover are you running? 6" maybe okay depending on your application.

You have to worry about binding. If you're set on trying it then just install it and see if the coils touch under the cars weight, if not then you need to drive around and check for coil bind under suspension movement.

Yeah coil bind is the only thing I knew that could potentially be an issue. I guess trial and error it is :P

You won't run into binding if your springs are stiff enough and they're made with less windings (ie Swift springs).

What's the spec on your springs and coilover?

Well the springs are from Tein(ordered seperately from them as I'm not running tein coilovers.) The fronts are straight cut 14kg/mm, 6" tall with a 2.75" ID and the rears are straight cut 10kg/mm, 7" tall with a 2.75" ID. The springs are super beefy and I've had great success using them before(different spring rates though.) They'll be paired with a shock and sleeve combo.

I'm confident they'll be fine, but I just wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with a similar spring size/stiffness that they could share before I put these things together
