Default Need Help, one of my brake line connections burst!

Hi,
I was forced into slamming on my brakes from 50-0 mph, during the hard braking I felt something give out. I immediately started loosing brake fluid, barely made it home. The car barely stops, no feel in the brake pedal at all.

I looked under my car and noticed the driver rear brake line attached to the chassis burst and fluid was everywhere (not a brake line in the wheelwell.) It looks like a "T" shapde connection. Near the spare tire under the car.

Is this something easy to change? Would I be able to get that part? My brake fluid bottle is empty.

thanks, any input would be great.

Yea its simple enough to change out. You can get a oem SC break line from any junk yard that has an SC, or order it from Aliga (although he might need you to buy all 4), or uprgade to stainless steele break lines!

Kinda strange that it would burst like that though..

on east coast cars yes. The rust probably started eating through the lines and it eventually gave up under the pressure. But yes this should be easy to replace, i would highly recommend not driving your car.

Have you taken a look under your car, do a lot of the hard lines look pretty rusted?

Default Brakes

Im near middletown NJ (central.) A lot of my hard lines are rusted or corroded. The car is a '94 with 220+ miles, Im beginning to wonder about my whole brake system.
I immediately was able to determine where the burst was bc I saw the leaking under my car. It looks like it exploded under there. I left a brake fluid trail comming up my driveway. I was lucky I was able to drive the car home, luckily I have a getrag to engine brake.

The brake pedal has no pressure at all. I'm not sure where to go from here. How much do you think this would cost at a shop or toyota? Thanks
