this guy.....since you offer no insight on the this thread, how about you find another one to post on and leave this one to 2gs guys that either
A. are experts at suspensions
B. are decent at suspensions and
C. looking to gain some knowledge about what "THEY ALREADY KNOW" rates, valving, and ahhhh yes....travel.
someone please chime in with postive input and not this "im gonna post because this guys sounds like a newb" crap

Like i said you have NO clue. reach out to CM or Google Rice suspension, you will see Answer300 set up come up.
Everyone who posted is telling you those rates are DUMB since you will make your suspension Obsolete. in order to run those rates your car must have the curb weight to use those rates which NO GS HAS.
Like it was also said.. WELD A ROD and Call it a Day. Sorry the truth got your Feelings hurt

How low are you actually looking to drive (I don't mean inch drop, I mean, top of arch to the ground)?
Stiffer suspension also puts a lot more work on your tires, and in a sense the wheels since theres nothing else moving and dampening the road.

what works in japan, doesn't necessarily work in the US.
the stiffest i would go in the states is probably 24/22. And even with that spring rate, I would consider running 18" wheels instead.
Just make sure your upper control arm is in good shape because it's going to get a beating.

Elitistk; upper arms and evrything else will be ready for what i decide to go with.

[QUOTE=excluesive;5975764]OK, what are you trying to accomplish by running 40/35 that the 26/22's can't do. I'd imagine once you go over 20 that it mostly become unbearable.

i have to address that as i tune the suspension. thats going to depend on kit clearance and a couple other factors but its going to be extremely low. i dont fear roads

I ride fair low but I don't drift lol. i have my settings at soft for a smooth ride. I had my teins on super stiff and it gave me back pains. I had similar spring rates on our lowrider car dancer, but it was so we could get that car to bounce high off the ground. Good luck with your spring rates sir...
