Hi guys, I recently contacted Tein and found out that they have discontinued the ComfortSport (CST) dampers they make for the SC300 and MK4 Supra this year. I managed to get the last set of these, but I no longer have the car.

For those that don't know, these dampers are the most comfortable ones you can buy and their maximum drop is somewhere between 2 to 3 inches (mild). I intend to be making a FS thread soon, but I would like to know if you guys would still want such a damper set up?

I'm trying to recuperate some expenses, how much do you guys think would be fair market value for a almost-brand-new set?

 

I've been wanting a set of these for a while, but $1800+ new from Tein is just WAY too much. I recently saw them for about $1400 which made me happy. But my budget is around $1000, maybe a bit more if I'm getting a good deal, and I realize theyd have to be slightly used at that price point.
So, why sell them if you just bought them?

 

I no longer own the car. I don't intend to sell these for more than $1000. I'm still waiting for the tophat and springs to be manufactured for the last coilover. They are coming to me as they make them haha. If you are interested in buying I'll let them go for a great price, but you will have to wait a while since they are being manufactured.

That may be perfect because I'd rather buy sometime in January rather than around Xmas. I think I'd be really interested.
How used are they? In miles. Also, are they being refurbished or are they all brand new?? I'm a bit confused..

 

One will be brand new. The other three actually have no miles on them, they were put on and off the car several times for fitment and they've been sitting in the garage collecting a lot of dust for half a year now. I'll wipe them off of course.

 

For those of you interested, we can do a custom set of BC coilovers that will mimic the Tein "Comfort" set. Just so you know you still have options
