What would cause my rear sway bar end link to rub and hit the driver side shock. I have koni yellow and eibach pro kit supra suspension. I have new prothane bushings in the rear and new end links.....Its like my sway bar is crooked....whats goin on?
looking at the wear mark in this pic bar looks like its 1/2 inch offseated to the left
even with the 1/2" u think that will be enough to bring that end link in the correct position.....what if i turn the end links around and put them on the inside once i get this all figured out....like flip them on the inside of the sway bar...
There is nothing to hold the sway bar from moving left to right. Some come with a stopper so it doesnt move like that. Easy fix would be to just push that sway bar back to the middle then put a couple hose clamps around the sway bar, one on each side next to the mounts. That way the sway wont move over anymore.
Theres nothing really wrong, its just out of place.
what if i turn the end links around and put them on the inside.
i'm not sure if that would be a wise to do I think it may change they way the swaybar functions due to its connecting point being further to the right on the LCA then what was designed by a Toyota engineer, I'm sure some one else will chime in and correct me
ill just jack it up loosed the bushing mounts and center it and tighten it back down....if it moves now i have 2 new rear shows in the rear.....ill do the worm clamp method....thanx
