Talking Need advice on suspension for my 300!

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to this whole forum thing. I have a 93 SC300 5spd with 170K that is my daily driver. No crazy upgrades just an intake and some OZ wheels. My shocks are completely gone and I'm riding on my springs. I drive close to 1000 miles a week. I don't have a lot of money but i also don't want to buy cheap KYBs or something cause of how much i drive. Can someone recommend some full setups that I can look into. I would like to spend around $600-$800(or less if possible). If I'm not going to be able to get anything good for that price tell me I'm crazy and I will accept that. Thanks everyone!

for 800.00 i look around since is ur DD i am assuming that u want a soft comfy ride.

i rock a set of toms coilovers they fell really good or the only option in that range is k-sports megans and lowering springs. will need a few more hundred to get into powerd by max's coils or stance but the best place for coils is our FS sections or search supraforums.com

PBM's are soft-ish without sway bars and low profile tires.... i know this bc thats my car now =( they are stiff and bouncy on rough roads though WHICH I LOVE!!!!!! i cannot wait until i get my wheels and sway bars.

Welcome to Club Lexus Steve.

A quick word of advice . . .

if your SC has 170K on it, make sure your steering rack and lower control arm (fronts at least) bushings are in decent shape before you invest in new suspension setup. If you don't, it doesn't matter how good of a set you use, it will still ride like crap.

this is exactly what Im dealing with now..

OP, if you dont have a lot to spend, I'd look into getting a good set of supra springs and shocks. Your tophats will be reused. Bilstein and Koni yellows are real good shocks (a lot of Autocrossers run them). For springs, eibachs been used a whole lot. There are a lot to choose from. The whole setup will cost you less than 800 if you install it yourself. A good set of shocks and springs will be miles ahead of the cheapest coilover setup.. gl on your decision

Yup. You can get a set of complete coilovers with height and damping adjustability as well for that price.
