BCR coils creaking
Okay, so I just had my brand new BCR coils installed last week. I noticed that there were some creaking sounds when i get out of my car(not all the time only sometimes) but not on bumps or dips. Does anyone experience this problem?

IXI187IXI - I'm having the same issues/sounds in the rear when the weather gets cold out. Just curious, have you tried looking into possible solutions for this annoying creak? Anyone else have this issue with a fix?
Much appreciated!

very simple. jack the car up and remove the wheel. unlock the 2 rings and slide them all the way down til the spring is free to move up and down by hand. once the spring is fully decompressed (ie able to move freely on the coil system) take the spring and hold it up to the underside of the strut mount and spin the top ring of the 2 rings you just slid down all the way up til it touches the spring and its held in place. just spin it up til it touches, nothing more. once you have that set you then spin that ring up a tad more. BCR recommends 3-5mm. do that for all 4 sides and it sets your preload.
to adjust the coilovers after you set the preload, spin the ring at the very bottom of the threaded sleeve, then turn the threaded sleeve to move it up or down and relock the bottom ring.
it may be a little confusing to read that so i found a link for BCR coils for you
