Default Just got my F sport sway bar... installl help pls********

I have a 09 IS350 for i ordered the kit that came with the extra brackets, upon receiving the package i noticed on the box that it says its for a IS250 AWD, does it matter which car?? is all the F sport sway bar the same??

Upon inspection it would fit my stock rear sway bar..

Once I started the install using the supplied new brackets and bolts I found out that the bolts are too long to use with the new brackets... is this usual????

I had to cut off the top bracket from the stock sway bar to create enough gap to keep the end of the bolt from making contact with the suspension part at the other end.... has anyone experience the same issues???

The one you got is meant for the 06-08 AWD, because they only offered the rear bar for the AWD. It is the same as the rear bar that came in the front and rear set. The 09+ have different rear sway bar bushings and brackets.

I believe there was some information about it in the other thread as well.

so is it the right part???

from what i understand the 09+ IS, is supplied with the extra bracket and bolts(which I got), they just gave me the wrong bolts ( same size as the stock bolts) needed shorter ones.

Sway bar is on... Sewell sent me the wrong bolts that didn't fit with the new brackets. Its the same as the stock bolts so its too long with the new bracket.

I gave them a call and all they told me was to go here and figure it out myself.

Same thing happened to me. You will need another set of 4x bolts part #90119-A0169. Just go to your local Lexus' dealer and order it.

Did you get the same part # sway bar listed as a IS 250 AWD?

Yea. Is the same part # as the awd 2is. You just need the 4x bolts from the dealer, and you're good to go.
