Has there ever been a posted incident of this happening to a 01+? just curious i searched awhile back and came up with nothing (not saying it couldn't)

Anyone with answer to above question?

I have 2003 GS300... are the 01+ GS's ball joints safe? I only have 87,000 miles though.

02 gs300, failed at around 50k here. I believe it was due to the fact that my car been sitting around at the dealer lot for years before i picked it up.

Ok...looks like I'm going to order it as well. Hopfully going to change it before 100k... my car is not lowered yet and no signs of issues... I should be fine right?

That's the thing with mechanical breakdown... You never know when it'll happen exactly, but you can have preventive measures to ensure you safe guard yourself.

Yeah, i had to get mine locally so it cost right at 200 bux. I spent the better part of a day trying to get that 17mm nut off but it would not budge. breaker bar, blowtorch, impact gun, air wrench, wd-40 still no go. So i just put it back together and i'm gonna get it towed on monday. Guy said 80bux a side for labor and 40 for alignment, does that sound legit?

this morning....driving to work....I noticed some shaking on the steering wheel at around 50 - 60 mph....noticed it again going home today. at 7:30 pm this evening....i decided to install new lower ball joints (luckily i bought them a couple years ago but never had the chance to swap them...until now)....esp after seeing those pics....LOL!!! i finished about 9:30 pm....hopefully no more shaking tomorrow morning.
