Default Are coils a hassle?

im interested in getting my first set of coils (BCracing) but wondering if they are a hassle to deal with? I dont want to be bothered every week with having to mess with them. Also what about repbuilding them? I dont want to rebuild every 6 months or year. Id like them to last a awhile.

Coilover are made for you to adjust the height you want. If you keep messing with them that just mean you either want to go lowwer or raise it up. Most of us just set it and forget it. As for rebuild it can last for years. As i've hear member on the forum run it past 25k without a rebuild. So what the hassle? None. For the rebuild on the BCR its like $95 kit for each one and can be done yourself. Which to me is cheaper than buying new shocks oem or after market.

^^+1 I've had my car for 4 months, bought springs after 1 month and now waiting for coils to be put on this Tuesday. I should have just put coils to begin with. After hearing people's opinions on coils on this forum, it shouldn't be a hassle as far as rebuilding goes.

its only a hassle when you first get them and trying to set it to where you want. after that you can pretty much leave them alone besides adjusting dampening which takes about 30 seconds a corner.

Cois have the ultimate adjustability. If you get springs, thats the drop you get! If you get coils, You have infinite possibilities of how low/high you wanna be. They last a long time....no need to worry there!

Nah no hassle, set your height and your damping and leave it. You can adjust it if you want, or leave if it you want, your choice.

i definitely plan on setting them to a minimal drop and not messing with them again. Do you need to do any maintanance or whatever on them before a cold winter sets in?

Also how is installation? I wont be installing them myself instead giving them to my local mechanic to install. Do coils go in just like any other shock and spring?

Installation is the same as a spring/shock install. No surprises there.

Maintenance shouldn't be an issue. You don't really have to do anything with them, except maybe spray the thread with lubricant to help prevent them from rusting.

the damping asjustments couldnt be any easier.... but the height is where you need some patience, first you isntall them and let the springs settle a lil bit. then youll find yourself adjusting until you find a sweet spot. I am very picky.. i want all 4 courners to be exactly the same height tho

install is actually quicker than installing lowering springs since you dont have to disassemble the stock suspension. you just remove the oem shock and spring setup and bolt in the coilovers.
