You adjust height via loosening the blue ring and threadign the shock into the mount.

Yea.. twist the bottom ring to adjust height. The red ring is to adjust the springs load.

This is the proper way to do it.

Unloosen the bottom ring in blue, make sure the tops 2 rings in red are tighten up to one another, now put your spanner wrench on the very TOP RED ring and turn it counter clockwise to lower. If you need to raise you put your wrench on the bottom ring in RED and turn that clockwise to raise. Once you get your height set tighten down the lowest BLUE ring and your set.

This is HOW you do it.

Bud you have no idea what your talking about. Your not messing with preset since your not loosening the red collars, your using them as leverage to turn the threaded sleeve. Your handing out wrong info.
You didn't even install these so please allow someone with a mechanical background to give out CORRECT info.

You saying the to turn the thread by hand and stating that touching the red collars will mess with preset.
You cannot turn the threads by hand while on the car without using a lot of energy and even then might take a while and still might not work.

The most basic way to describe it is this.

The shock is threaded like a giant bolt. The Lower mount is threaded like a Giant nut. So thread the bolt into the nut to raise or lower it. Thread the shock into the lower mount to lower it. Opposite to raise it.

VERY simple.

That's the way I do it too. I could not turn the shock itself by hand. It was A LOT easier by using the top two rings for leverage, just have to use the correct ring as stated above depending on if you are lowering or raising.
