Well, if you need to replace your old worn brakes, then just upgrade! That's what i plan on doing.

I did my swap on tuesday and I must say it is the best upgrade I have done so far and the cheapest besides my engine swap. My original brakes were starting to seize up on the front passenger side. They would fade when breaking from high speeds, and my rotors were warped, etc. But yeah I had to kind of relearn how to use my brakes all over again. Lol. These suckers really bite damn good...

I say ya ls400 brakes are sweet. I just put mine on a month ago went to the track 2 weeks ago and was stopping much much better. I got the powerslot rotors (slotted) and the porterfield r4-s brakes. the pedal feel is a little soft on these pads. soft initial bite but once pressure is applied stop very well.

I was also reading that the tt supra brakes will fit with a little modification. i might try that in the future.

^, That's one of the downsides to the LS brakes, pad choice is quite slim. For average braking, OEM pads will do the job; I'm currently on Wagner Thermoquiets and they perform quite well.

Off the top of my head, I believe EBC offers a couple of options.

Maybe we should send a petition to Hawk or EBC to make some performance pads lol.

Anybody run these at the track with some smaller wheels in the front or is it a complete nogo? I'd like to at least be able to throw the stock 16s on when I drag it

Quick question, don't plan on using stock wheels but using one as a spare. Would the stock 16" X 6.5" be too small?

You can use stock 16s only IF you have at least 15mm spacers to go with it.

Hello all, I have a 99 SC400 with 16x6.5 stock wheels. I need rear rotors and at least one caliper. I am considering going to the LS brakes at this time for the rears only. I'd like to do the fronts also but I believe that I will get the new wheels at that time. Does anyone think that having bigger rear brakes will cause any issues? I do not race it but I like a sporty ride... thanks
