So far, Tein s techs on stock shocks feel close to the stock ride, just firmer though not jarring at all w/ my stock 17". I'll most likely keep using the stock ones, unless I were to go the coilover route, like several members here have.
Lastly, considering Tein claims the s techs are meant to be used w/ oem or aftermarket shocks, I am not too worried about the stock ones going out of commission prematurely (knocks on wood).

I disagree.. I think it's subjective. Comparatively speaking the Pro-Kit might not drop that much if you are simply comparing numbers, however I think the Pro-Kit drops quite a bit from stock. A full inch in the front and .8" in the rear can be pretty substantial, especially if you are putting new wheels on the car and/or have any type of body kit. It will depend on the look OP wants really.

2016 Lexus is300 awd f-sport lowering springs?
Personally not a stance person, but the wheel gap on the IS, is rediculous. I set my rides height with some rsr down spring. I think it's the perfect ride height, what do you guys think?

continue suspension discussion
Hello all
new to the club. instead of starting a new thread, would continue this one. hope this is okay.
so i would like to ask a bit different questions
1. so if you lower the car. do you need to do any wheel alignment adjustments? I know if you do spacers, you have to do some. If you do need to do wheel alignment changes, any tips or hard facts on what it should be, example, if you lower 1/2 inch, whats the correction camber/toe??
2. if you chose just to use springs to lower the car. is this really a no/no? I'm really just going for looks, i don't race or anything like that. so definitely just for looks and comfort
3. once you lower the car. how long before any adjustment, if any is needed
4. i am new to all this. so in just getting my feet wet. should i start with springs first, before totally all-in with coilovers??
Thanks all for the feedback. will look forward to the discussions.

Springs will be totally fine. H&Rs are a great choice for lowering springs. You will eventually need to replace your shocks so consider that as well. You can find some good coilovers for 1,000 or so. I have H&Rs and they ride great. And provide a nice , even drop. Definitely get an alignment afterward.

Here's a pic of mine on H&Rs. Factory shocks , 50K on my 2007 so a little life left in the shocks. Probably will switch to fortune coils in 2018 maybe.

HI @bbaugher47
very nice!!!! that is exactly the clearance i am looking for. but not wanting to sacrifice ride,
i just want to make sure that the drop makes the car even height for both front and rear
not really doing any track. just wanting it to look nice
thanks again for all the input

Yeah , its pretty even although I do wish the rear was a tad lower. Ride is fantastic. A little firm but thats to be expected. It is not bouncy.

Hello everyone
just wanted to update this post. finally decided on H&R lowering springs. installed it around 2 weeks ago.
perfect height for me. as expected the ride hasn't change much, but the handling has been better. found someone who can tweak the alignment a little better so handles a bit more aggressive
Hope you can see the difference. HKS Hi-Power exhaust on the way :-)
